speaking of gossip and lynchings perpetuated via the internet, i saw something really interesting yesterday.

let me explain. background first.

when the americans invaded iraq in 2003 there was a turkish military presence in northern iraq. some of these turkish service members were captured by american military forces, and pictures emerged of the turks being led away by american troops with hoods over their head. popularly, this came to be known as the 'hood event', or 'Çuval olayı' in turkey.

here is where things get interesting.

the administrator of a semi-popular right wing US politics message board doctored and image of a turkish soldier, depicting them having wet themselves. in a matter of days the image spread over the internet like wildfire as apparent 'proof' of american soldiers abusing the turks.

wait a second.

i never saw that picture... because it doesnt' exist.

from what i understand some schmuck just made it all up.

wonder if it's just to get away from the train wreck.... or if in the past ten days they've collectively said 'so THAT'S why this guy is always acting like a crazy *******'.
 
It seems the only people left in his office are people he coached in the past.

Ford wasted everybody's time fighting to get his job back. I should have stayed ousted. He and his brother now have Zero chance of winning in th next election. What a joke this has all become.

YUP....you got me. I can't find "proof" in a foreign language something that in the big scheme of things, a bad joke so imperceptibly small and irrelevant.....that happened ten years ago......

But let's make that equivalent to real claims against real people. One posters even claimed Ford had someone MURDERED.

this is impossible. a "quick google search by zeke" revealed that none of this happened, so that's the end of it. zeke's search engine and skills have spoken, so that was that, i thought.

a quick google search will turn up everything.

including articles that "took on a life of their own" across "dozens of websites".
