OT: The News Thread

Only a couple of clicks from here. The cell passed right over us and it was pretty nasty, no touch downs until it was closer to the bay.

Here's the fucked up bit for me personally. The cell passed right over my neighbourhood and we didn't receive a Tornado warning until just after it passed over. Was maybe 5-10 minutes between it passing over us and it touching down.
 
I’m forgetting the exact numbers but Kelowna had about 30mm of rain from Jan-Jun this year. The previous low was 80ish mm about 100 years ago. Thompson-Nicola and Okanagan regions are getting slammed with fires this year because of it.

Between this happening and the always deteriorating condition of California I really think we could be in a bit of trouble out west with our food supplies in the not so distant future.
