A really good IG follow who used to be a counter intel/anti cartel officer for the Mexican government, Ed Calderon, had video from outside the compound last night with some audio. The audio sounded like the dialect of either Cuban or Venezuelan spanish speakers according to Ed, so probably mercs.

i'm not fan of elon musk, but at least he has vision and is trying to bring the world forward (whatever his underlying motivations are).

Yeah, there are a whole lot of problems with Elon, but the projects he's funding and pushing forward are actually advancing the cause of human exploration of the solar system. Reusable rockets, heavier launch capacity, an actual spacecraft.

I'm not sure what Bezos and Branson are accomplishing though. Humanity has been capable of taking humans and tiny payloads to low-earth orbit for 60 years now. And we haven't gone any farther than that since Apollo's last flight almost 50 yeas ago.

So they're not breaking any new ground, not doing it for any useful scientific purpose. If Bezos really wants to prove how big his micro penis is, why not do something truly remarkable, like build a Dr.Evil style lair on the moon?
