OT: The News Thread

Honestly one of the scariest possible situations you can find yourself in as a driver. Even if by some miracle you stop safely, or if you and/or your car get through the initial impact relatively OK, you know more cars and big rigs are going to come flying in from behind and pancake you.

Getting out of your car to run off the road is rolling the dice too, since another vehicle could come at any moment. That one dude who was just standing on the road by his car with his hands on his hips looking in the opposite direction of incoming traffic was fucking nuts.

The only defence there is planning ahead. Right hand lane and be willing to ditch yourself.

big time near miss, too.

he's also stuck in the right wing feedback loop that confuses'free speech' with being an absolute and inherent right. it's fucking stupid. twitter is a private enterprise, governed by self established terms of use (and which, despite those terms, lets an awful lot of stuff go - even more than government protected 'free speech' permits in many respects).

also pretty sure Musk is just a racist dickhead too. some of the stories/allegations from within Tesla are wild.

would not want him in charge of such a widely used platform.

and, as you mention, he does not actually seem to understand the concept of free speech.

Wait until the sale goes through and his legal department starts telling him his exposure for allowing nutters to threaten people from his platform and he starts limiting free speech
