OT: The News Thread

I'm sure there'll be lots of interesting names on that list.

A lot of powerful humans are terrified right now and doing everything they can to quietly stop this.

Musk is possible, Gates is likely, Trump was sued for a rape attached to Epstein once upon a time, so that shouldn't shock anyone if it happens either. Robert Kennedy Jr, Larry Summers, Peter Thiel, Ehud Barak, and a bagload of others have been connected to Epstein over the years.

Allan Dershowitz for sure. Prince Andrew for sure.

But of course, when the list is revealed and it doesn't affirm all the right wing conspiracy theorists' beliefs they will simply say that this isn't the complete list or that names were deleted.

And we need to remember that there's a difference between someone who visited Epstein Island once versus someone who was a business associate of Epstein.

Japan not having a great start to 2024.

Day 1, earthquake. Day 2... coast guard plane collides with passenger plane on runway. 5 service members dead

LOL—apparently this plane was a Boeing 737 Max that was practically fresh off the assembly line. Has only been flying since November. Nice that Boeing was able to pay enough bribes to get these death traps rated as air-worthy again.

And yeah, I honestly can’t believe the reluctance of people to wear their seatbelt on the plane. And that’s even without considering the possibility that your plane might be a Boeing with windows and portions of the fuselage that are built to randomly auto-eject.

Any sudden dive or some good turbulence and the limp sack of meat that is you is going to fly out of its seat and start ping-ponging off hard surfaces. I buckle up when I sit down and stay buckled up until the plane’s landed and come to a stop.

I never take my belt off during flight. You can hit turbulence without warning and crack your head open on the overhead bin.

And now that Porter flies out of Edmonton I fly them exclusively whenever I fly to Toronto or Montreal. No Boeing bullshit, no middle seats and free booze. I'll be flying Porter to Hogtown this week in fact.
