Lol they should teach the Spaniards.
Snow days were never really a thing when I was growing upPffft. Pretty sure all our parents just walked to school in those conditions
I did, in the blizzard of 77. Walked to school, walked home at lunch, walked back after lunch, and then walked home and hour later when they had to cancel the rest of the day because the power went out. The snow was knee deep.Pffft. Pretty sure all our parents just walked to school in those conditions
until we take the hint, the planet is gonna keep doing shit like this to us. just more and more severe over time
Yep, unless the power went out you never had to bother listening to the radio during breakfast to hear about school closures. You simply assumed that it was business as usual. And it always was. Aside from a power outage (which happened only once, resulting in the school sending kids home only about 2 hours earlier than normal) I can't recall a single day of school ever being canceled due to weather in all the years I walked to school (1971-85)Snow days were never really a thing when I was growing up

Today, if a kid looks out his bedroom windows and sees so much as a dusting of snow he knows he can go back to bed.
Not that kids actually walk to school anymore anyhow.
