OT: The News Thread

WeHave is like your MAGAiest uncle if he suddenly broke hard left politically but held on tight to all his biases, nostalgia for things that suck, and terrible ideas.
Why is walking to school a terrible idea? Why does every damn kid need to be chauffeured? North American kids already don't get enough exercise. Let em walk. Its not "nostalgia", it's healthy.

Absolutely. Kids now are so soft. And don’t get me started on rap music, or “crap” music as I call it.
It's not that they're soft. Anyone would become soft if they're sheltered to an extreme level. It's their parents who make them soft by not forcing them to deal with the real world from a young age. That's why these millennial have so much trouble navigating the world. It's not them, it's their conditioning.

When a guy shows up to a job interview with his mom (and this is a thing I've actually seen) it's not the kid's fault he isn't getting hired, it's the mom's.

Us millennials navigate it just fine. It's your Gen that has to ban rainbow crosswalks because the are sexually confused and scared.

No, they really don't do "adultung" well at all. But again, it isn't because they are inherently weak or inept. It's their conditioning. They've been made helpless by their helicopter/bulldozer parents who refuse to just let them figure shit out on their own.

My brother is an elementary school teacher in Toronto. Any so-called "problem child" he's ever had to deal with has a parent or two that are objectively terrible at parenting. It's nearly ALWAYS the parent's fault when their kid turns into a little shit. The bright, we'll adjusted kids have parents that don't smother them or wrap them in cotton wool. Some parents get that in the real world there aren't always going to be "safe spaces" and that their kids will have to deal with it. But they represent only about half of all the parents he deals with.
