I love how these kids act so tough and then they actually end up in a detention cell and they're sobbing their brains out. It's a scary experience is it not? Hopefully it sets them on the straight and narrow path and they can be productive members of an orderly society.

No kidding...it was surreal. Gonna be a lot of fallout over this event I think. At least a lot of lawyers will be keeping busy.

a friend of mine is doing his summer internship in the specific department of the firm that rep's the city and toronto police.

Changing things up here...and this isn't exactly big news but still;


So we've had discussions about teaching and the state of our education system, and in those discussions I've mentioned how great my son and daughters' school is right?
Tonight he graduated.
There were 67 gr.8's in total, 10 of them in the gifted program. 19 of 67 kids graduated with honours.
That's basically an entire third of the graduates. And it's not like all the giftees got honours...that's an impressive number.

A great school, with a good principle and incredible teachers, can circumvent a bad system.


(oh yeah... my boy made the honour roll, as well as receiving an Athletic Excellence Award.)
I'm a proud dad, sue me.

Congrats on your son's academic and athletic success, BBW! That's fantastic to hear. Just keep him away from the girls long enough to stay focused at doing as well in high school. ;)
