OT: The Official Toronto Raptors Thread

I'm choked with them. They seemed to have done their best to ignore the Raptors winning a fucking title. Their interest in the Raptors went from the Demar trade episode straight to Pascal and Fred getting hunted in the forest because Kawhi's gone in this episode.

Just lazy.

-Matt Thomas to the 905 on a rehab assignment, expected to play tonight. Considering our 3 pt struggles recently, getting him back would be awesome
-Pascal is back doing light, on court workouts. No timetable yet
-FVV questionable tomorrow against Portland with a hammy injury. Might also have a fractured finger that he's playing through as well.
-Ibaka is fine after tweaking his ankle
-Powell is apparently pretty close and looks good in workouts
-Gasol also apparently looks pretty mobile in workouts and might be ~10 days away

- I still don't understand McCaw's function, and seeing him play more is only cementing my opinion more.
- OG is still missing something offensively and he's starting to look a lot more like last year's OG at the offensive end than this year's. Defensively still a stud though
- Serge is still where ball movement goes to die, but he's doing a good enough job in his role right now that I'm cool with it for now
- Brissett might be a player. Not yet, but I was kind of shocked to see he's only 21. This program is going to turn him into something.
- The flip side of McCaw getting all of these minutes is that TD is on the bench way too much for what we've got available right now. TD should be the one pulling ~28 minutes a night right now, not McCaw.

Don't get it. He's okay defending the ball, but just okay. That's literally all he does. He doesn't shoot, he doesn't distribute, doesn't make good decisions, nothing.

It's weird. Nurse getting a too confident in his ability to make players better.

How do you not load up on shooters there? Thomas and Davis both sitting on the bench. That was shades of Casey at the end there. Fuck. The whole final 3-4 minutes of the game was bad ball movement P/R.

Patrick McCaw: 36 minutes, 6/4/3 on 25% shooting.

Stanley Johnson is another guy who isn't earning his minutes. 4/3/2 in 17 minutes on 14% shooting. Blind allegiance to RHJ when he's having a shit night.

Boucher only 16 minutes, Davis only 8 minutes.

Nurse doesn't have enough tools to work with right now to ride people. You have to ride the hot hand. Boucher should have never seen the bench down the stretch.

not only did Davis start, but the first sub out was McCaw, not davis. good stuff nurse.

and DAMN, Davis with the nasty dunk.

mccaw goes out when we're down 8 or 9.

gets us a lowry-davis-og-rhj-ibaka unit and suddenly the raps are winning.

just stop with mccaw, nurse. he's an emergency defensive guard stopper. that's it, that's all. there is never an excuse to have him in the starting lineup, no matter how many injuries.
