They really are the worst.

With that said, it's the nature of being famous in LA. Of all of the places in the world to have an expectation of privacy in anything, LA is the worst of the lot. There is a medium sized army of people whose livelihoods are just following stars around, knowing their habits (in this case, Kobe's daughter's basketball game would have an easily obtained schedule) and taking pictures/video of them.

TMZ is the worst, but they're a symptom of the disease, not the disease itself.

most encouraging thing is that the past few games he's getting back to his old game - hustle. too much of this year he was trying to be Kobe (RIP). but now he's back to hard under the basket on both ends. the defensive improvement lately might be the best part - he kinda sucked on D most of this year so far.
