OT: The Official Toronto Raptors Thread

most encouraging thing is that the past few games he's getting back to his old game - hustle.

QFT

Was nice to see him step up his scoring this year, we needed it. But what could make him a legit star is his ability at literally everything. Scoring, rebounding, defending, transition O&D, ball handling/distribution. He was playing pretty fucking soft for more of this season.

Pascal has his buddy to go with him.

Good to see our Philly guy there (RIP Bean).

McCaw is the Raptors version of Par Lindholm. Nobody but the coach quite gets what he does, but we'll be forced to watch him play until the GM trades him.

That is. Something to remember is that Ibaka was dreadful according to most analytics over the first few months of the season, but has been very good for the last month

Nov: 104/106
December: 106/107
January: 114/106

His true shooting is over .610 since the middle of december (after being around .550)...and pure, pure eye test (because his assist rate hasn't actually improved) but he looks way more willing to play within the offence lately and not just jack any half open shot when he gets the ball from 19 feet out. There's more Serge possessions that end with Serge passing out of coverage instead of forcing up a contested or semi contested shot.

Here's the TPA model for anyone interested

Keep in mind that because it's adjusted for minutes played, someone like McCaw who plays a lot of minutes surrounded by good players who make pretty obvious impacts, can be dragged upwards in this stat. In fairness, the same would go for Serge here, who again was pretty fucking dreadful for the first 8 weeks of the season.
