OT: The Official Toronto Raptors Thread

Props to zeke for the call on Powell. Tremendous improvement from him this year and may be the x-factor off the bench that the Raps have been looking for since Van Vleet was promoted to the starting lineup. Will be important against teams like Boston and Milwaukee.

hey I just said he might be better than Demar.....I didn't think he'd actually be.....good.

Norm's made the starting lineup thing pretty interesting now.

He's a more natural fit at SG than Kyle or Fred and a Lowry-Norm-OG-Siakam-Gasol lineup makes the most traditional sense. But at the same time our actual best lineup might be Fred-Lowry-Norm-Siakam-Gasol with OG on the bench. But that would run into some problems against teams with a bunch of long wings, like boston.

Might have to change up the starting lineup based on the matchup, but it looks like at least there's a legit 6-man competition for the best-5 lineup now. I like Ibaka fine but I'm happier to see him as a #7/8 guy rather than a #5/6 guy.

This organization has a really, really weird ability to create quality players out of nothing, and also have okay players turn into impact players later in their careers than any other organization.

Maybe it's luck, but it's really starting to look like a trend. Because yeah, Norm was an okay rotation guard in his mid 20's as little as 12 months ago. Fast forward a bit and he's an above average starter and legit #2B type offensive option on a contender imo.

McCaw with his customary empty ass stat line.

McCaw is averaging 9.3 pts (42.2fg)/4.4 reb/4.3 ast...... per 48

That's hilariously empty. Here's TD's per 48 line

22.1pts(.469)/9.6reb/4.8ast

Matt Thomas

22.1pts(.490)/6.9reb/2.7 reb

and why not...Malcolm Miller

8.8pts/5.4reb/3.1ast

His game is coming together at the perfect time . He becomes an important rotational piece for the playoffs

I would never of said it a year ago but he might be our best finisher right now

The more weapons the better , can’t wait for the real season to begin
