Of course McCaw panics and throws the ball away because the ball is literally fucking lava to this guy

Crunch time McCaw. I almost want him to cost us a game or four before the playoffs so he gets banished to the fucking G league where he belongs.

It's wild. If Davis makes a mistake or two on defensive coverages or is sloppy with the ball, he's almost never allowed to play through it. He gets a quick hook and glued to the bench. McCaw gets to consistently be in the wrong spots on the offensive end, hand grenading possessions with bad spacing and unwillingness to shoot the fucking ball and get his customary 20+ minutes a night.

The lack of rope Nurse gives to Davis and Boucher while giving miles of rope to McCaw and RHJ (who I like, but does some super questionable shit) is kind of crazy.
 
at least RHJ is a fricken dog on a bone out there, and can defend 1-5, and can actually score one on one in some matchups.

Oh, I'm not comparing the two directly. RHJ has a place in our rotation, no arguments. Sort of a weird defensive swiss army knife who can be oddly effective around the rim for a 6'5 player. But he does do some really, really weird shit with the ball and it never seems to affect his playing time. I've seen him make just dumb decisions with the ball on 2-3 straight possessions and there's no hook.
 
the only solace is that the 8th man for Nick doesn't play all that much come playoffs.

nobody else even hit 5mpg or even played in half the games. and Norm sucked last year almost as bad as McCaw this year.

of course, the counter to that is that this year we have no Kawhi, and this year Davis/Jefferson/Boucher/Thomas is infinitely better than Meeks/McCaw/Moreland/Lin/Miller was last year.

Defences know that you can sag right off of him and cheat into the lane and if he does find himself open with the ball, all you have to do is start your close out and he'll move it to someone else, probably someone who is covered. That one sequence with Serge on the P/R last night was hilarious. Just fucking ignored him and doubled Serge.
