Pacers had no choice but to pay Siakam. You aren’t getting a better player than him any other way. They just made the conference finals. Still have a bunch of young players that should further develop and help them get better.

Pistons new President/GM came in and fired the coach that he inherited. Where have we wanted been wanting that?

I don't think Siakam can be the #2 guy on a champion, but he can be the #3 guy. Pacers are in an okay position even with this signing, now they just need Mathurin or Walker to turn into the #2 guy. The key there is Haliburton though. He's probably a top 5 player offensively already at 24 yrs old. You can throw bad contracts around and get away with it when you already have that legit franchise player in place.
