OT: The Official Toronto Raptors Thread

Also, the Raps need a "6th" microwave player off the bench. I think Dick can be that guy. Who else do they have right now?

mogbo and battle keep giving good minutes. not a ton of upside left on them at 23 but they look like useful players for sure. no need to put them in 905.

but Shead and Walter could probably use some time down there.

That's kind of my thought process. imo, that offensive guy off of the bench is more important than your 5th starter. Especially for us where we lack the offensive punch off the bench pretty badly.

if you need a "6th guy" to score then that guy is going to be playing near starter's minutes and in your closing lineup anyways.

I don't see minutes for Battle when we're healthy though, that's my only problem. I'd rather he get 30 in the G League and be a good injury fill in rather than him just sit and rot

Scottie
Ochai
RJ
IQ

Gravy
Bruce
Davion
Kelly
Boucher
Mogbo

Even Mogbo might benefit from some G League reps. I'd rather these guys be playing than sitting.

That's what I've been saying. 27-28 minutes a night, in the closing lineup when he's going well, way less pressure to defend against opposition top lineups. Great role for him at this age, way ahead of where most thought he would be at barely 21.

I think there should be plenty of minutes to go 12 deep. And 3pt shooting off the deep bench is very very nice to have.

i don't see the difference. if he's getting the starting minutes then he's the starter regardless of when those minuts come imo.

The difference is he's not stuck guarding the best wing players in the league and can focus on doing what he does well at this point. He's pretty close to terrible defensively man.

They have 3 guys that can get their shot off when they need too: Scottie (hopefully in the block), IQ and RJ.

Dick is that scorer you bring off the bench to see if he is hot or if you need shooting. Ochai and Brown are those glue guys and Kelly can run and offense.

Starting lineup doesn't lack scoring when it's healthy. It lacked spot up shooting but Ochai shooting 45% kind of sorts that, and he can defend the ball.

The bench though, definitely lacks scoring punch.
