OT: The Official Toronto Raptors Thread

cavs were raining threes all over our faces for most of the game but they finally started balancing out a bit at the end of the 3rd and now they're heading into the 4th only down 6 (after being down by ~15 most of the game).

I just noticed that BRef has added advanced box score stats, including BPM to their box scores for this year.

A few takeaways from the last 3:

- Welcome back Scottie. Easily our best player, probably no close second.
- RJ been impact as well
- Gradey is struggling and will benefit from the reduction in role that is coming, even if Zeke throws a fit over it.
- Davion has to take way better care of the ball. Way better. He shot the ball well in 2 of the 3 games but BPM is shit kicking him for being so turnover prone. The whole team needs to do a better job there fwiw
- Ochai is fine
- We really do seem to do well when Mogbo is on the court. There's nothing that jumps out in the rest of the numbers as to why but if I had to guess I would say that we get out in transition really fast with him in the game.
- Shead needs the G League.
- Jake is Jake. Steady, boring, efficient, good.

Blindz didn't notice that Mitchell started the 2nd half last night instead of Ochai, just like in the closing lineup the prior game.

Because I didn't watch the game last night. That does make it pretty hard to notice Darko's rotation, agreed. No one other than BBQ-Jake should be locked in to a starting role. It should be all situational/matchup based until someone shows themselves to be worth starting minutes.

Ochai is fine, but he's a bit undersized to defend big wing players and okay at handling faster primary guards but only just okay. He's okay as a 3&D guy but only just okay. Davion definitely looks better as the point of attack defender against faster guards so against some matchups that might make sense.

With all of that said, the numbers from last night definitely question whether that was a good idea. Davion's 6 turnovers is a pretty ugly game from a point guard.

Davion stinks no doubt.

Fine as a backup, but yeah I don't like him against opposition starters, there just isn't enough offence there for the D to mean much.

The 3 is dropping lately (relatively) and he defends well so I'm interested in seeing him get more of his time against 2nd units to see what he is for us.

Scottie limps off of the court...
