So tell me again why it was good we traded OG instead of extending him?
The trade was fine , Raps were headed toward a retool and team ran its course
Exactly what the Knicks needed and he needed a change , Raps were not paying luxury bills to keep the core intact

Because we didn't have a Brunson and we saw what happened when we played these guys together without a Batman, it wasn't good.
This is the same as the Siakam conversations from last year. We didn't have a Haliburton to get Pascal to the ECF and finals. When Pascal was relied upon to be our #1, we were out in the 1st round. OG is awesome but the Knicks can let him just be a guy in their system. When we needed him to be a #2, we were out in the 1st round.
It was never that they aren't good players.

No true #1 option and half of the team was more worried about their next contract than playing winning ball. Nick Nurse turning into a cranky arsonist didn't help either.
