Serious question, does Ballmer just say fuck it and sell that cursed ass team?
He's 70, he took a swing at greasing his way to a title and lol, they're starting a rebuild right now in the new 2nd Apron era, and doing it with like 3 1sts between now and 2035. How in the fuck are you going to rebuild with no picks and you can't just spend money like the Warriors and others did?
Ballmer bought the clippers for a billie, and built the arena for another 2. The Lakers just sold for 12.5 billion and don't even own their building.

Easily could have gotten away with this if he wasn't so fucking lazy about it. The endorsement deal values were nothing to him, how hard would it have been to reach out through his personal network for them, make some handshake deals with other wealthy pricks to do a deal with them on something else down the road (investment, real estate, whatever) and have them grease Kawhi's wheels instead of so blatantly doing it through vendors to the fucking team like Daktronics.
He needed like 1-2 layers of separation and this becomes impossible to prove.

No, because they couldn't have paid him. That was the point of all of the fuckery. The Raptors were able to offer the biggest contract, and it was the Aspiration deal that brought the Clippers total value up to match the Raptors contract offer.
