OT: The Official Toronto Raptors Thread

Here's my predictions for the season as they pertain to Scottie

- He'll become the primary ballhandler in a lot of offensive sets, Fred will move off ball more often. Partially because Scottie, partially to preserve Fred for the playoffs. I expect Scottie's USG% to move up from 19% into 23% range that Fred was in. Might play fewer minutes a night though. Dimes up to 5-6 a night.

- I don't think his scoring will go apeshit. There's a lot of mouths to feed. I could see him moving up into 14 shots per game (up from 12.6 this season) but unless he becomes a massive bucket getter, I don't see him taking too many shots out of Pascal, Fred, and GTJ's hands (though I'd love to see GTJ moved for value and those shots get spread around). So maybe with improved efficiency from outside and a few more shots a night he moves into the 19ppg range.

- He's bigger and stronger, the rebounding will improve. 8+ a night, even with a slight decrease in minutes (should be around 32 a night imo)

- Scottie had a dip in his analytics (BPM, EPM, etc) mid season, which is normal for a rookie getting used to the league. If you pull that 6 week chunk out he was a 2.5-3 epm player, which is top 40-50 in the league. I think that's maybe not his floor this season, but on the lower end of reasonable expectation.

Who does he take shots away from though?

OG already gets the shit end of the stick and he's efficient as fuck. Good luck taking shots away from Gary. Fred and pascal?

I mean he always has the ball on the perimeter if that pullup 3 is real that's 2-3 more shots a game without even running any extra plays for him. I don't know who loses out.

Its not entirely zero sum, we can generate a few more looks a game maybe, but its mostly zero sum. If scottie is taking those shots, someone else wearing a raptors jersey isn't taking them.

Plus chamberlain at center and Stockton doing the dishing? That's where I went.

Any man that scores 100 points in a game gets on my team for $3.

I thought about it but Durant was too good to pass up at $1 and with Bron and Jordan you don’t need a PG

I still believe in bigs I guess. Switchable, athletic bigs, but guys who can challenge shots at the time and pull 15+ boards down.

Also point guards...I still believe in needing those. It was really just figuring out the best 3 guys I could get to play those roles for 5 bucks after paying for Mike and LeBron.

Original version of this song from 1973 (Cheech and Chong).

The song's guitar intro was played by George Harrison, and among the many other well-known musicians credited were Carole King, Billy Preston, Tom Scott and Nicky Hopkins. The backup singers, billed as cheerleaders, were Darlene Love and, from The Mamas and The Papas, Michelle Phillips.

Michael Jordan
Tim Duncan (this guy would be on any team I choose.... even miniature bowling lol.
Garnett
Durant
Barkley (to keep Duncan in line).
leaving me with 2 points left over to sign a backup if Durant does pull his shit lol .... Mr Bill Russell. come on down.

How do you think Shaq, Olajuwon and Ewing would do in this no traditional C league right now

These studs closed games and were offensive focal points , but now the C barely impacts a game offensively

Would the facilitating PG and low post game come back or do theese players need to change their game
