OT: The Toronto Blue Jays

They’re playing with a game genie hack of infinite money. They’re Man City…

It’s fake sport. It’s every bit as bad as joining Golden State, maybe worse.

I honestly would like to hear why you’re so sure you wouldn’t have the made the same choice as Ohtani

Should have done Italian. It's one of the few things we have better than LA. And the Japanese love Italian food.

PS: Mrs presto got that libretto frozen pizza and your review was correct. Not edible. The sauce and cheese were ok but the dough is cardboard like all frozen product

There is a Toronto woman (Janet Zuccarini) that is addressing that gap, having launched a series of Italian hotspots in LA. Should be a slam dunk since California’s climate lends itself to mimicking Mediterranean produce

no one can convince me Ohtani wasn't initially on that plane with the Shark Tank guy, but jumped off before takeoff when he heard that Kikuchi was gonna push that lame sushi place on him again.

One more thing — his cone of silence is pretty unique. Don’t remember another big contract that was first reported by the player himself (on Insta in this case)

Dude, you’d play for the Argos if they called you tomorrow
I was gonna follow it up with "unless they pay me." But I figured that was implied. But being rich in LA vs Toronto isn't a particularly difficult decision for someone who spent most of his life in Toronto already.

Winning is the main thing that made Toronto not believable as a destination IMO. The Jays best pitch would have been about how they thought he could help them compete for the division title. They’ve been 12, 7 and 9 games back the last three years. With LAD, that’s already basically a lock.

If Ohtani was willing to be sold on “we’ll build a winner around you” he might have just stayed in Anaheim.

It is also helpful, that he doesn't have to move to a new home.
