Dude missed most of spring training with an arm injury, his last appearance was only around 35 pitches so it's going to take a couple more outings to get into game shape.
I'm happy for Blanco and I'm especially happy that it was the Jays who got no-hit.
But I'm even more glad for Astros manager Joe Espada, who respected his pitcher, respected the fans, and respected the game of baseball by not yanking Blanco after X number of pitches because "pitch count".
Fuck fancy stats. When you have a no-no going you respect the game and the fans and you let your pitcher get it done because that's what baseball is about.
