More than annoying that it looks like we signed damaged goods to 15 million. The thumb apparently worried him all offseason. So i dont imagine this is a quick fix

I mean if you look at the available options for that term/price i think gambling on Max made sense.More than annoying that it looks like we signed damaged goods to 15 million.
My understanding is that the specialist told him it's not the worst case scenario, probably won't require surgery. He received a cortisone shot, gotta wait for the inflammation and pain to subside.Any updates on Max?
John or Davis? LolSchneider doesnt look like he belongs whatsoever. The main problem though is you probably need to replace him with a part time RHH to face lefties and the options look like Clase and Stefanic?....Ungreat.

Davis is useless. John maybe is but outside of that blown loss to the Mets I haven’t seen anything egregious yet. He still builds his pen roles like it’s 1998 though and trusts the bums too muchJohn or Davis? Lol
And seemingly much like Verlander no actual contenders were interestedi mean he's 40 we knew he was going to be damaged.

The FA SP market was fairly bad.
If bonus is spread out over duration of the deal, how is it a “signing” bonus?
It's probably CRA tax fuckery. The same thing Tavares got caught trying, but the CRA says he wasn't eligible for. Vladdy is probably a tax resident of the DR so will get away with it maybe?
Something to do with signing bonuses and salaries being taxed differently for foreign tax residents.

Yeah and i'd rather be wrong about Max, than like Jack Flaherty or Nick Pivetta long termWhen in doubt go short term. I've got no qualms with the Max signing. If you're not good enough to survive without him in your rotation, you weren't good enough for him to make a difference when it mattered anyway.
