OT: The Toronto Blue Jays

Why do you think Lukes is the 25th man?
Straw has been better?

If you want to convince me Schneider is the 25th man and Lukes is 24th, then sure?, but i'll amend my statement to the 24th man and part time player should be sent down for making too many baserunning bonehead mistakes.

This team, has been brutal at baserunning in the Shatkins/Schneider era. Surely some of that is coaching, some of that is guys like Kirk, and some of that is guys not being held accountable for being stupid creating a culture of it being okay to be dumb. You cant really do much to address that sort of thing but you can damn sure make an example of the fringe roster guys.

I think when Varsho comes up, it will be Roden who goes down.

In the SSS of the start of the season, Roden has put up a wRC+ of 89. While his defense has been good, he probably needs to be playing every day, while KM Straw and Lukes are "veterans" who can be permanent bench players.

This would be very foolish IMO. There are more than enough PA for Roden with Varsho here

For a guy like Straw, you’re lucky if he’s on the team during a hot streak, but can’t be deceived when he goes back to being the player he is. It’s not easy but you have to be able to cut bait. Like they did last year with IKF — they got way more than could be expected out of him and then shipped him out (he has been terrible since the trade fwiw.)

They might have already given Davis Schneider too much rope.

Lukes is 30, his best years may have been the last two in the minors. Nothing special before that. If he doesn’t perform, cut him.

took a bit but they got that kid's timing down in the end. every batter had hard contact off him that inning.

Perhaps its time to realize that Bo is not a lead off guy and Vladdy probably should not be hitting number 2 in the lineup.

I know the computer is probably saying they should but fuck the god damn computer,
