OT: The Toronto Blue Jays

According to sources around MLB the high-end relief pitching signing should start as soon as tonight with the market running dry by Sunday or Monday. The Toronto Blue Jays have been heavily linked to this group and could potentially lose Seranthony Dominguez. Jays have had conversation with the camps of Diaz, Suarez, Dominguez & Williams. But it is set to be a highly competitive market with only 7 relievers above 2 WAR.

RELIEF PITCHERS

Edwin Díaz (32, 3.1)
Robert Suarez (35, 2.8 )
Raisel Iglesias (36, 2.6)
Ryan Helsley (31, 2.5)
Devin Williams (31, 2.2)
Shawn Armstrong (35, 2.0)
Kenley Jansen (38, 2.0)
Hoby Milner (35, 1.9)
Tyler Rogers (35, 1.9)

Sandlin is more interesting than good, and was going to be replaced if they are serious about bolstering the pen, they also need at least 1 40 man spot for Tiedemann and maybe for a Arias/Pinango/Kasevich

Is there a scenario where Jays get both Tucker and Bo? I feel like Bo stays and Tucker goes to Dodgers
I mean probably not, the teams weakness is still arms.

They need one premium bat, one premium sp, one premium RP, a secondary RP and bench help.

Tucker or Bo
Cease/Framber/Ranger/King/Imai/Trade
Diaz/Suarez/Williams/Helsley/Raisiel/Keller
Armstrong/Ser/Ferguson/whoever
whoever/ not IKF

We need bullpen help. I don’t think I can take Hoffman closing games again next year. Get me one of those top guys to slot Hoffman to the setup spot.

1 more legit starter would be nice. Do you bring back Bassitt in a 5/hybrid BP role? He was so good in the playoffs. Too bad he can prob get more money as a starter elsewhere.

If we could dump him and not give up anything to send him off, then sure, I'd consider it if we needed that money for something else.

But again, say we bring back Bo. Effectively we choose 5 of the following to start every game with our current roster, between 2B-SS-3B-LF-RF:
Bichette
Gimenez
Barger
Clement
Santander
Lukes
Schneider

That's some pretty solid flexibility there, you could literally pick any 5 of them to play and there's a configuration you can use them in, depending if you lean towards offense, defense, platoon edge, etc.. Obviously for this squad, Bo plays all the time if he's healthy, Clement will always start against lefties, etc.. And Springer will probably still get his 40-50 games in the field, you'll have a few games at 1B to cover for Vlad when they want to give him a DH day, and so on.

Even beyond that, you still have Straw and Loperfido as the next couple options, and they've both been solid enough to fill in as defense/role players, as OF4 or OF5 types.

I think it just makes sense to pay Bo what he needs, shift him to 2B full-time with Gimenez handling SS duties, and then running out the same squad again. Springer won't do as well next year, obviously, but I think we can aim instead of Springer being a 5 WAR guy and Santander being a -1, both of them being a lot closer to 2. And then otherwise Straw should be a lot worse next year, but even if he drops by 2 WAR, it's not completely unreasonable to think that can be split between guys like Barger or Clement, Varsho being healthier, etc..
