…he had a new burner for each killing, so I wonder if they’ll be able to solve other cold cases based on his cell records, cross referenced with missing persons cell records + burners that may have contacted them…..and/or pinged towers in unison with his phone & potential victims.


Wonder if he was ever dumb enough to buy phones or minutes via CC.

….so when he took over, he brought together multiple departments, jurisdictions, etc etc to create a task force.

Was a single state police officer who had been assigned to the task force, that was the one who found evidence that put them onto Heuermann on March 14th……which was the first time his name had ever been connected to the case.
 
In another lifetime, detective work would have been something I would have loved to have done. I've always found this stuff to be incredibly interesting.

Somewhat unrelated, but when there was the Dawson College shooting in Montreal back in... 2006 I think? I was going to culinary school and the best friend of one the girls I was often working with in class was the only person who died. That was such a weird feeling.

Another one, this time in 2014 or so, one of my co-workers had learned that her oldest friends was killed, along with other people in her friend's family, because of a scorned ex-boyfriend got pissed and just shot up everyone in the house.

How many here have watched the JCS YouTube channel? He doesn't have the biggest of channels anymore, thanks to YouTube removing a ton of his videos, but his content is top notch.

another great one I listened to recently was “The Outlaw Ocean” produced by CBC….some of the information in that one blew my mind. Recommend this one to everybody.
