They're basically a modern iteration on Blue Oyster Cult. But the dude is a very talented songwriter with a lot of great songs, and he makes it all work by combining the macabre with a good sense of humour. One of the better rock bands out there the last decade or so, I dig them a lot.My kid just got tickets to see him in Miami in July. She loves the guy and bores me with the iterations of the character.

Thank you so much for the recommendation, Slinger! I'll wander over and have a gander soon.Good morning Cal Gal, I've noticed you post a lot of music here.
For you, and for anyone else who might be interested, there are many great music threads on another forum I frequent as well as a lot of vintage audio equipment threads, etc. You would be right at home there I think.
A fair amount of comic relief can be found there as well, no politics allowed there though.
Here's a link to it.

It's important to me to keep up with politics (I've "followed" FI for many, many years, plus others), but it can be very exhausting to do so (AND keep up with the goddam Buds), leastwise it is for me - great to have other avenues of escape from the madness!!
