OT: What are you Watching/Listening/Drinking?

Stop apologizing for Cruise and just embrace it. Guy is a good actor and his movies are legit entertaining.

But ya I'll take house 2.

Director gets you godfather 1 and 2, and Apocalypse Now.

Willis gets you Pulp Fiction and Die Hard.

I haven't seen The Wire, any of the Bonds, or Rick and Morty. Heard good things about all of them. So that'll keep it fresh.

Lost over The Wire, The Sopranos or Breaking Bad???
I love Lost! Haven't seen The Wire or Sopranos. I have heard they're brilliant. I think Game of Thrones may be the best tv show of all time, but it just really fell apart in that last season.

Breaking Bad was amazing, but would be #3 in this group. I absolutely loved Star Trek The Next Generation when it was on, it's right up there.

Cruise is a lunatic, but he is an amazing actor with a lot of great films. Almost went with Willis.

The ability to carry blockbusters is an extremely underrated skill. Which makes Cruise and Keanu extremely underrated, despite their acting shortcomings.

I had no idea that Harry Styles was a legit talent until I heard him on Howard Stern. This is a fabulous rendition of Sledgehammer.

Frightening but I agree with you around 98%. I haven’t seen The Shield (though I hear it’s good) but would NOT use that show as an eliminator (unlike HIMYM and others on your list) because it’s in the same group as Scorsese and Clint — their body of work spans over 100 yrs combined so they alone provide all the drama needed.

The idea that Jackie Chan can't be the action star is ridiculous.

Just his Hong Kong catalogue stacks up well.

I agree his catalogue is great, though mostly confined to one sub genre of action.

For that reason, I’m out.

I was looking at it more in the context of if you are quarantined in a house with these people (characters), which house would you choose now?

So I've seen the latest Spidey, latest X-Men, Hobbs and Shaw, Rise of the Planet of the Apes (it was just on and stayed on, but zero interest), three episodes of Tiger King, first episode of the new Westworld. Underwhelmed by all of it.

By the way, what was all the hype about for Bohemian Rhapsody?? And pint sized Rami Malek did a cartoon impression of Freddy Mercury and took home best actor?? What a joke.

I still wish Borat played him.

I would have watched that...but usually stay from rock bio pics (they all share the same puffed up narrative arc --rags to riches to excess/failure to redemption)

Freddy Mercury was 5'9

Malek is 5'8

That shocks me. Guy looks so tall in every pic or video I’ve seen of him. And Malek can’t be 5”8. He looks like he’s 5”4, 5”5 tops. But in any event, his impression of him annoyed me throughout the film.

Malek was really good... but I am disappointed that SBC didn't end up with the role. I just have a feeling that he would have killed it.
