OT: What are you Watching/Listening/Drinking?

Deep Space?

at 10 mg per can, your bladder would explode long before reaching the exosphere.

I keep hearing people say this, but I'm doing 10mg edibles that aren't launching me into orbit, but are leaving wonderfully buzzed. How stoned are people trying to be exactly?

I took a whole 30mg cherry blaster last night. I'm kinda still feeling it now. Not really high, but the head is feeling a little uhh floaty? I dunno, new to all this.

30mg for a nooby like me gives me fucking chills. I'd probably get fucked up off 2mg. Although I hear the legal stuff is far more potent.

This is the thing about THC tolerance...if you're a regular user (every day or two), your tolerance shoots through the roof fairly quickly. But as I liked to remind people in the cannabis industry that I've discussed these matters with on twitter, putting the needs of daily users first is catering to people with addiction problems. It would be like Smirnoff making a 70% vodka because full blown alcoholics don't need as much to get drunk and thus, prefer it. It's a terrible way to approach usage. The vast majority of users when this is a fully mature industry will be fine with 5-10mg doses of edibles/beverages. It's the dying gasp of the stoner counter culture that keeps trying to convince us that 50-100mg products are completely necessary.

If anything, your tolerance shooting up should be a sign to take a week off.

Yeah definitely not doing a 30 mg again anytime soon. The 10mg chocolate square i did last week was a nice buzz, although for an absolute newbie (I had never tried cannibis until like 3 weeks ago), I thought I'd get a bigger buzz but maybe I have a higher tolerance than average.

Are we sure all mgs are created equally when it comes to potency?

The "Twisted Extracts" I use are 5mg of THC and 5mg of CBD and deliver the right amount of "buzz' for me. Like drinking 3/4 of a bottle of wine.

The tolerance thing is funny. I punched bongloads 24,/7 for years.

Now 1 circuit round on a J and I'm toast.

Well that's the easy bit with micro dosing and why I think beverages are going to be massive in the industry (onset is king when it comes to mico dosing, who wants to wait 45 minutes to find out if they're going to get the buzz they want?). 5mg isn't enough? Have another. 10 not doing the trick...have another. etc, etc until you're where you want to be.

Yeah, I was a heavy smoker for a long time and then a long time away from it. I was surprised at how hard a 10mg edible hits me now.

It's almost like.. Beer? What a concept. Never understand the potheads mocking the bevvies lack of potency but those same people will gladly gulp down 6 fucking beers to feel a good buzz.

I still have questions about bevvies, but most of it has to do with the legalities of branding/advertisements (imagine a Tinley or Tweed commercial during a Leafs game in the same way that Molson Canadian has their commercials? That alone makes them immediate powerhouses), shelf space in retail stores, logistics etc. In terms of how big of a hit they'd be? Those concerns are slowly starting to fade for me.

the problem with bevies, is that I don't think anyone has figured out a really short onset time. Booze is valuable because the results start being noticeable immediately.

I view my edibles as "set it and forget it". I have one and an about an hour later, anything I'm watching gets a little funnier/more interesting.

The one Canopy bevvy that was released in Quebec has about a 10-15 minute onset time. Has been getting pretty great reviews. I'm pretty sure Tinley has perfected shit as well but ME can speak more to that.

5 to 7 minute onset on all Tinley products. Comparable to their alcoholic counterparts

well I think there's plenty of a happy medium there between Cheech and Chong and "oh my gooooddddd you guys I ate a gummie!!"

So while I've never been able to finish the apparently legendary book Catch-22, I finally decided to watch the movie version and it's actually legit fantastic. Good stuff.
