OT: What are you Watching/Listening/Drinking?

The new
Yup. The whole doorstop delivery thing makes me want to sample em all. The Mango Tangerine one looks right up my alley. And the raspberry one maybe too...

I feel like I've found my lager and don't want to cheat on my Beau's. Sours seem very interesting to me as my next adventure... I've got some decisions to make.

Their most popular sour is Jam Up the Mash but tbh I find it's much too sweet. I hope the mango one is more balanced.

You have to watch out with sours - a lot of times they cheat and make it super fruity sweet to cover up a bad sour. A good sour should stand on it's own 2without too much sweetness.

That Gose that CH1 posted is a very nice starter there.

My shopping cart currently has jam up the mash, mango tangerine sour and raspberry dry hop sour.

When zeke's recommendation of prophets and nomads comes back in stock I'll add that and call it a day.

But tbh I was months with Beau's lug before I felt an urge to try something more potent. No need to rush into IPAs and sours yet.

No rush. Just a compliment to my boring lager. Maybe I have the wrong idea of sours but I feel like they are less of an acquired taste than the some of the other shit out there. Aren't they just a combo of Ales and ciders (i.e. way less sweet than ciders but more tart and boozy)?

Sours vs ciders. Compare them.

Go.

man, you're going way off the board....like the Bruins did in the 2015 draft

No.

Theory: Sours are basically ciders but more manly sounding so it gives big gruff menly men like zeke an excuse to drink them without looking "gay."

Eh...these sours are a lot...more. they would compare to a cider kinda like a strong IPA compares to a lager. Even people that like sours don't drink them all night, just one or two. (Except for me :))

I would go easy. Start with a nice clean light gose like CH1 rec'd.

But yeah there are a ton of bad sours which are just fruity beers for the chicks and gays.

Yeah...the good sours are not the type of beer that you guzzle after mowing the lawn on a hot day.

I'm a big fan of gay drinks. Gay is synonymous for fucking delicious when it comes to alcoholic beverages.

The real sours are the Belgian Lambics and Geuzes That is the original good stuff.

And the lcbo surprisingly has a bunch of cool bottles of that stuff though it's only stocked in some locations.

They had this one Italian Sour which was ridic but I never found it again.

Yeah...those Belgian sours are like drinking a good sourdough. I like 'em, but have to be in the mood.

But **** me do sugary/sweet alcoholic drinks ever make me feel like absolute death the next day if I have a few.
This is true. Like the others said those are the drinks I typically would have 1 of. Any more is too much. They're fucking delicious though.

I can drink as much straight liquor as I want and still feel relatively fine the next day as long as I get enough water in me before I go to sleep.

I don't even have to wait the next day to feel a little crappy drinking that stuff.
