Done. You don't need anything too fancy. And lodge ain't anything to scoff at anyway. Great value for something that lasts centuries.

Ive been making my own scotch bonnet bbq sauce the last few weeks as im cooking on our smoker every sunday.

If anyone is interested ill post the "base sauce" i make and then all the other ingrediants i use to make it better.

They're pretty much all the same. A big round sphere of iron seasoned by the manufacturer (which you then season even more)

I'd get two sizes. Lodge is readily available --- Canadian Tire has them on sale periodically.

Fuck they are expensive here. When I went to the states several years ago I went on a massive lodge haul at Target. They're made in the US so it's a fuckton cheaper there. But that's no longer an option is it?

You could cave in a skull with it...I have the 12, the 10.25, the grill pan, and the double sided griddle/planche. Fantastic gear to own, indestructible, incredible performance if you give is 45 seconds of time after you're done with it.

Out of the box? The pre seasoning functions but isn't outstanding. Like a sheet of glass after a year of cooking with it though.

Canadian Tire "sales" are such a scam. I feel for the people who buy shit at regular priced because they mark shit up like crazy.

With that said, that's probably fine. I get Lodge because I can trust it a bit more, being made in the US. I'm assuming this one is made in China but you may not notice a difference.
