OT: What are you Watching/Listening/Drinking?

What's taking them so long? Are they shooting for the moon and also trying to infuse the beverage with anti COVID-19 properties??

Because that's the only explanation I will accept at this point.
They spent the last three years fucking up immensely. I believe they had some issues with their beverages that they tried to keep under wraps. Some unconfirmed sources say that they knew about these issues a long fucking time ago and never notified Constellation. Basically since Klein took over I have a lot more confidence in them as they are become more and more integrated with Constellation and he seems to be cleaning up the mess that Bruce made. Hardly a lock since they fucked up so badly but there's at least some hope there. It's constellation fucking brands. Hard for me to bet against them longterm.

Now they are putting a lot of their eggs into beverages which could easily be a mistake. We don't fucking know since it's so new. But as a casual drug taker, stocking my fridge with gorgeous weed bevvies and Beau's intrigues me to no end. More than anything, I want it to work out. Hopefully they loosen up on advertising because firing off Tweed bevvy 'mercials during hockey games seems like it would be a game changer. But the long-term answer for them isn't in Canada. It never was. We're talking several years, maybe decades before they make real progress as a company.

"Fucking up immensely" is the MO for the entire cannibus sector as well as every department that organized the rollout.
On top of Canada being allergic to successful businesses, yeah. It was basically an arms race to waste as much money as possible on useless assets that are now essentially worthless. Just a monumental catastrophe.

Conservatives rolling out a liberal plan was bound to have problems.
My hope is, now that they may finally be seeing the profits to be made, Ontario will get it's shit together and pump out stores.

The problem wasn't just political. Management at these companies were (are) filled with grade D execs with little idea on how to run a company.

And, I'm talking about better ones; others were simply fraudsters looking to stuff their pockets with inflated share prices instead of building long term value.

Price point, supply chain, little to no ability to bank in a regular way, illegal supply not cracked down on etc. So many failures along the way but the ones that survived (RIP canntrust) should be set for good growth.

Much like with alcohol it'll be all about building brands. Very difficult to do when you're not even allowed to advertise them. Seems like they've done a decent job of it in the US despite that, but the industry is just so green. Long way to go.

And as I said, the ticket is the US. Europe is moving at a snails pace and Canada will always be limited simply due to their population. But building a real legit brand in the US is everything. It's coming but I'm bearish on the timing of if personally. Until then, the multi state operators have a better chance to grow and establish dominance, making it a bit more difficult for the constellations and altrias to immediately take over.

If they legalized tomorrow the good MJ companies down south would be bought out immediately by the big boys. It'll just be big alcohol and big tobacco taking over the industry.

Just another gorgeous day of slaving away in the kitchen. Started with a freshly baked bread, made some Nicaraguan chilero, made some more curtido, made some incredible smash burgers and closed it out with freshly baked chocolate chip cookies. Current status: tired.

I have to thank (profusely) whoever posted that Jacques Pepin omelette video.

My omelette game was pretty damn good but thanks to that video it is now elite.

All I want to eat now are herbert omelettes every meal.

That was Ferg.... I may have to give it a shot.

Omelettes and masturbation. What other skills will achieve elite status before this is over, only time will tell.

So with BBQ season here (or almost here), cooking outside on the grill is pretty much going to be the norm for me.

That being said, for those that do not have a BBQ (or are hesitant to use it), a pan fried steak can taste as good (sometimes better), than it's bbq'd counterpart.

This method is optimal with a gas stove and cast iron pan, but can be done on a glass top/electric stove and regular frying pan as well. Short video by Ramsey on how to pan fry a steak:

Another take on the searing method (which I have not tried), by Matty Matheson (very colourful personality, may not be for everyone though):

Dropping acid and butter basting steaks

The one thing I've really seemed to take recently from trying to expand my knowledge on food and cooking is how much of an impact the proper oil selection can make when cooking a dish, as well as how dynamic and awesome butter is when cooking.

I think we chewed on this issue several years ago, recognizing that a super heated cast iron skillet will create a better sear than a grill. Hatch marks are nice, but they literally show the partial sear.

Anywho, agree about grilling. It’s go time.
