OT: World Politics

I'm sure that Putins minions all felt that they could. They were being told exactly what they wanted to hear by the military. "Yeah, militarization is going great", "we're truly a great power again because of Putin.....make sure you tell him I said that", "of course you can borrow my third yacht, I'm not using it this weekend, my second favourite mistress is using the fourth yacht".

Talk about Russia telling on itself with that commercial.

In this scenario, a shell-shocked middle-aged military veteran is slaving away at his menial job, getting paid nothing by his employer and apparently has zero legal recourse for this wage theft, since the factory owner has likely paid his protection money to one of Putin’s henchmen.

So he’s forced to deny his teenage daughter basic necessities and creature comforts as well as raid her piggy bank in order to buy enough potatoes and beets to keep the family from starving to death for another week.

But good news, old man! If you want to be able to acquire stuff for your family, you can join the unprovoked genocidal war of conquest we launched against a neighbouring country! We won’t pay you either though, lol. But on the off chance you live, you can loot washing machines, iPhones and whatever else you can carry off any Ukrainians you kill.

This will also make you a hero to your family and community!

It’s interesting, because it makes some GOP squeamish. And from what I gather, some in the Iranian regime are not happy with the support to Russia. It piles pressure on them.
