Far be it from me to ride to Elon’s defense, but Medvedev has regularly been posting ridiculous, looney-tunes shit on Twitter since the full invasion of Ukraine began, and Elon’s posted sarcastic, troll-ish responses to his posts before.

Pretty sure that’s what’s going on in that exchange.

My guess is that he tried to organize one and just didn't get the support for it. There was a long period after the election was called where it was pure silence from Bolsonaro. Shortly after that period, he launched his lawsuit that got him sanctioned and fined. So it's not like he wasn't interested in trying to overturn the results, I'm gonna bet that he just got shut down by his supporters in the military

yeah there were reports of police trying to block traffic and other shenanigans, who knows what was happening behind the scenes. I suspect we may start hearing details of the U.S. / Brazil extradition treaty soon enough.
