Maybe. But China is mid internal crisis, probably a paper tiger (corruption appears rampant in their military according to recent reports) and Russia is at peak bandwidth just dealing with Ukraine.

The last thing those countries want is the US on legit war footing. It ends spectacularly poorly for all of the regimes involved imo. Xi probably survives to lick his wounds, but an internal overthrow of a weakened Iranian government and a bullet in the back of Putin's head are near 100% guarantees after those regimes are crippled. There's a reason both of them sabre rattle but use proxies on top of proxies whenever the US is involved.
