Good summaryGetting the Saudis and Jordan to put their cards on the table is a win for Israel. It also got the world back on Israel’s side.
They aren’t exactly known for their chill, pragmatic responses though so we’ll see.
But still Iran indiscriminately fired hundreds of rockets and drones from Iran and all their terrorists cells in the region. Just because Israel and its allies are stronger doesn’t make the attack and less unprecedented. All in response to a direct hit that killed 6 regimers. It was a clear violation of international law and collective punishment. Not nothing.
I’m encouraged by the lack of an immediate, disproportional response. But still trepidatious. Cannot trust Bibi.I think whether or not Israel retaliates will have a lot to do with those two.
They launched over 300 drones and missiles. Including over 100 cruise and ballistic missiles. Seems like a clear attempt to overwhelm air defence. I wouldn’t call that a bunch of softballs.
