The European ultra right is apparently going nuts over this because Fico is basically a Slovakian proto Orban who says all the things they want to hear. Halted weapons shipments to Ukraine, anti immigration, publicly speaks against LGBT rights, etc

Also of course has stepped down once already over maybe being kinda sorta involved in the murder of a journalist investigating government corruption

Like Orban, not exactly pro democracy.

european politics are so much more interesting. Their populists actually promote some policies that are good for the people, like Fico did. Fico has also been fairly pro-EU. but yeah he's also tippy toed with Russia and rails against wokeness.

Yeah, former member of the Slovakian communist party whose first act in office was to raise pension levels for the poor and second act in office was to punish the police inspectors that were investigating political corruption he was involved in.

but at least they have to give the people something to earn their spot.

in america the populists can just run on pure pro-corporate policy and still win, even though they need a much larger share of the vote. american populists are true morons.

Yeah, you have to pay the poors in Europe directly if you want their support for the rest of your "populism"

They're taking care of this problem by simply getting their minions to participate in coups whenever the election doesn't go their way. Eventually they'll just do away with elections altogether.
