OT: World Politics

The arrogance on display here and how you talk to and about people who think differently than you do is exactly why poly bear is going to get elected. Houston has improved healthcare vastly. I know many people who I can refer to mental health services that are available, and when they can’t afford to pay me or don’t have private insurance, I can refer them to a decent acceptable public alternative. They are now more nurse practitioners than ever before operating in Nova Scotia, taking the place of a family doctor. We also have alternatives to going to a family doctor services being provided at lower cost with better accessibility at pharmacies. These are all things he’s done to improve healthcare by diverting people from the family medical practises to alternative services that cover the same thing. I also like the $40,000 incentive in the form of forgivable loans to homeowners to create density on their properties. I am currently in the process of building a secondary suite for a friend of mine who has been often on living in parks. He’s mechanic who hasn’t had much ambition and barely earned a living. He’s also an alcoholic, a drug addict and a dear friend who I am unwilling let live in the streets. I don’t believe in big government I don’t believe in big business and anything that puts money in the pockets of individuals that help them make differences in their communities, especially with regard to middle-class individuals, I am highly in favour of. And unlike the two prior governments, he made peace with the teachers union fairly quickly such that my daughters graduation happened and my son can start high school without disruption which given how fucked up their school was due to this bullshit Covid school closure horseshit that really set my children back Socially and emotionally, I’m really glad. The next thing I’m happy he did was he stopped Covid restrictions more quickly than I think any of the other parties would’ve and I am quite grateful for that. I do these things voice to text sometimes so this is full of errors and you don’t feel like reading it please mute me, but he’s been great . The arrogance, though that people don’t think you are wrong or somehow not acting in their own interests? You don’t understand their interests. You think you believe what they should be interested in as opposed to what they are interested in and that miss reading of the public And dismiss the intelligence of the uneducated populist.

And wayward?

You strike me as a kind of come from away CTA (certified Toronto asshole) that’s moved here and doesn’t quite get Nova Scotia or Nova Scotia. I’ve put up upper Canadian weasels for decades. We used to have a game in university where we would walk up to the people from Toronto and see if we could pee on their feet without them noticing.

Did somebody make you wear a mask again?

Okay, I apologize to the people of France. I was so, so wrong when I recently told a buddy that US politics is easily the most fucked up and interesting democratic politics on the planet.

I'm not sure if France is more fucked up and interesting, but it's 100% in the conversation for the crown
