Taiwan is going to continue being the core security issue of the region and if Xi/China doesn't give up on that, or at the absolute minimum turn down the threat level immensely from where it is now, Japan, SK & aligned regional buddies (everyone with coast line on the south china sea + Australia) are going to work to keep China ringed in. Trade normalization like we've seen recently will help a bit, but I think that goes away in a post Trump world anyway. Whatever form the US takes after this little foray, it won't be as 1800's mercantilist about trade.
