This should be a pretty serious card, also Canelo is sacrificing Caleb Plant to the boxing gods tonight as well.
Usman-Colby
I've rewatched their first fight a few times and found the "2-2 going into the 5th" scorecards a bit kind to Colby on each rewatch (I have it 3-1 every time I watch it going into the 5th). The fight comes down to one really fundamental piece for me. Colby has pillowhands. Usman has top tier knockout power. Even if Colby wins a few rounds, he's not laying the type of damage down to slow Usman. In the 1st right you could clearly watch Colby's gas tank get lower and lower the more he dealt with Usman's power over the rounds. Usman's striking just keeps getting better every time we see him. I've got KO again, and earlier in the fight this time.
Thugger-Weili
Rose is too slick, too polished a striker. Aside from one freak piece of athleticism by Andrade, Rose has run through every top fighter in the division and barely even been in trouble. If not for the Andrade slam knockout, we'd be discussing Rose as an all time female great fighter.
Edgar-Vera
Edgar has been a great fighter for a long ass time. But 40 is 40. Vera is ranked quality, but only just barely imo.
Burgos-Quarantillo
2 cans. Burgos coming off of 2 losses and seems to only be able to beat unranked fights. I'll go with Quarantillo
Gaethje-Chandler
This is a toss up for me. Chandler is there to be knocked out, even when he's controlling fights. Gaethje's most impressive fights have been against tomato cans that stand in front of him. Anyone who finds a way to make Gaethje work to find them has been able to break him down. I think Chandler's movement and wrestling will be too much if I had to bet on it though.
