Key is pressure. Lopez is winning the fight for sure but one guys breathing heavy With a beat up face.
 
Lomachenko hasn’t eaten a single clean punch to his face. Maybe 2 body shots.

He sat back and lost a bunch of rounds but it’s no surprise loma Came alive late. Lopez fires all his ammo by the 5th round.

Did he though? Loma slept through 5-6 and Lopez did nothing other than rack of rounds by landing a couple of body shots. Loma dominated like Loma from 7-11 and yeah, Lopez was great in the 12th and won it clean.

I had it 114-114. Whoever the fuck had it 119-109 needs to be fired.
 
That was interesting late. Not enough from Loma early on. That 12 round Teo showed his heart.

I don’t understand that 119-109.

I thought Lopez won fairly - Loma did nothing for the first 6 rounds, and the 12th round was clearly a Lopez round - but 119-109?
 
119-109 is bordering on criminal.

You want to make it 115-113 Lopez, sure. I can see it.

The best Loma could have pulled out was a draw, but still.

He held off Lomas quick hands and did a great job of anticipating off the left side (and using his elbow/not biting on the baits).

Loma is one of the best I’ve seen and he beat him fairly. Not an easy thing to do.
 
I had the 2nd round for Loma fwiw. Neither guy did much of fuck all, Loma landed the best punch of the round though.
 
What I don't understand with boxing is, how do you watch UFC's TV production from earlier and think you're putting on a comparable product? It really looked like professionals (UFC) and part-time amateurs (boxing) in comparison.

Tonight's event was tons of dead air time, tons of hyping up a fight that... umm... we're already tuned in to watch and I was just so annoyed.

In any case, full credit to Teofimo Lopez. Tremendous fight by him, superb game plan.

It wasn't a hard fight to score imo. I can see someone giving 2 to Lopez, but that's the only real swing round. 115-113 and 114-114 are the only two reasonable scorecards tonight.

Yup. Agreed. If someone gave round 2 to Lopez, cool. I can see it, even though I disagree with it.

As with what happens too often with boxing, the shadow of corruption will take some of the luster off of the Lopez victory.
