Wow...What the hell is wrong with people. The amount of times that was replayed is sickening last night on tv. I felt sick seeing John falling back after being hit and losing consciousness. He could have easily been killed last night(that pic shows how his neck could have been broken). I honestly didn't care about the rest of the game and don't remember much about it.

BTW, Kyle Dubas is such a great guy. He was the best choice for GM for the team from a hockey perspective, but is an even better person. It's great Leafs are represented by him.

I had much the same reaction. I shut off the TV because I didn’t want my kid to see that. It was upsetting. John Tavares is a husband and dad and, for the sake of his family, I hope he makes a full and speedy recovery.

It's just amazing how it destroys your interest in hockey. I just didn't care after that incident. If Leafs won last night it would have been a huge upset.

I think the last time someone in hockey got an impact like that in the face/head was Berard. It shows you how incredible it is only 1 person has been killed in the NHL. Very lucky he did not die.
