Yeah, McBackup's been no help for sure. What I don't like how many times the Sens have been able to enter the Leaf zone with the puck & speed and skate all the way to the slot with little to no resistance.

For sure, they've been getting premium chances. Babs usually does a good job of getting them to settle between periods.
 
Dermott looks like he belongs in the top four. One preseason period but the guy is seriously good.
 
Dermott looked really good whenever I saw him with the Marlies last year, too.

As much as Rosen & Borgman are older & will got a shot too, I think Dermott's still the front-runner for that 3rd pair LHD spot.
 
1st impressions:

1.Dermott is the clear standout of the young dmen. Liljy good too. rosen the weakest.
2.Leivo, as always, is really damn good.
3.Fehr/Aaltonen/Mueller are too slow for the nhl.
 
I'm torn on whether this, or making a 2 line pass an offside is worse. Those are the worst 2 I can think of in my lifetime.
 
Imagine one of these penalties getting called in a playoff OT?

Or how many five-on-three situations it'd create?
 
I really don't understand what the NHL is doing with these rule changes. It's like they're trying to kill the momentum and lower scoring.
 
Don't forget the skate in the crease rule.

This one though is just stupid. They are expecting guys to entirely relearn faceoffs.
