And maybe he can teach Dach how to be a pro. (See other thread.)
He’s been healthy since Gorton changed out the physical therapy team. Coincidence?I never expected him to play a full season ever again.
But also doing thatGally’s shot has returned. Not just scoring goals off of different body parts.
YesHe’s been healthy since Gorton changed out the physical therapy team. Coincidence?
Competent Anglophone Management is never a coincidence. He’s been healthy since Gorton changed out the physical therapy team. Coincidence?
It's the most important word. Before the A word showed up, the C word started with an I.Removing the A word would be more effective of a statement.
Intelligent? Please mansplain it to me.It's the most important word. Before the A word showed up, the C word started with an I.

Savard was lucky. Without Roy stealing those 2 Cups he'd have been run out of town a lot sooner, probably after we were eliminated in the first round of the 86 playoffs by the Bruins after Doug Soetaert couldn't get it done.Serge was good. Grundman was awful. Gainey was terrible. Houle was the worst. Point is, competent management is what matter, regardless of the language.
True. You can shit on Houle but he was totally unqualified from the get go so he only did what you'd expect an unqualified person to do. In truth, Corey was the actual GM. He hired Houle to be his meat puppet and take the heat for decisions that he himself was making. Rejean Houle didn't trade Roy to Colorado. That was Corey.Corey was probably the worst thing that happened to the Habs.
We did win our last 2 cups under CoreyCorey was probably the worst thing that happened to the Habs.
We won those Cups because of Roy. No other reason. Not Corey. Not Savard. And Corey is the guy who traded Roy for a used jock strap and a bag of pucks. We did win our last 2 cups under Corey
We agree on essence. Just hire the most competent person. But there is competent and incompetent people in both language.Savard was lucky. Without Roy stealing those 2 Cups he'd have been run out of town a lot sooner, probably after we were eliminated in the first round of the 86 playoffs by the Bruins after Doug Soetaert couldn't get it done.
The problem is that when language is the first hiring criteria, you are almost never going to get the most competent person. The best you'll do, if you manage to, is to get the best available francophone, who may or may not be the best or most competent candidate available.
The other problem is that it's never JUST language. Hughes SPEAKS French but he's not French. And the minute this team doesn't win enough that will be all the media talks about; that he's a tete caree who happens to speak passable French.
