Young core NEED to play meaningful games in March / April to gain experience w games of increased intensity.

Only Suzuki & Caufield have experienced it

3-of-4 pts this weekend and Habs are likely within 4pts of wildcard / 5pts of 3rd in division to kickoff Dec w games picking up a notch in intensity as Xmas / New Year approaches

Team building is not binary, it’s a constant process over time - just don’t flick a switch when you’ve got that “group” in place because that situation may never manifest due to constant change nature of modern NHL

Exactly but battle tested late in the year in more meaningful games means nothing when your turning over 1/3 roster every year

Its nice when Florida goes to the finals 2 years in a row but that 5-8 core is constant
