Tech Thread



I'm starting to get a bit of wood thinking about how the economic order is shaping up in a world where China stops being the factory for the world and a bunch of North American driven production stays in North, Central and even South America (most will go to Mexico, but it opens the door for good jobs through out central america, the caribbean, etc to feed US consumption) while at the same time, the US government finally breaking up the tech monopolies. We don't need 5 tech daddy overlord companies that just buy up it's competition while they're still in the crib, we need 20-30 tech uncles knife fighting in the back yard trying to outcompete each other.

i always thought Trump could either destroy the system or force it to correct itself by making people care enough again to do the right thing.

it's all possible.

and yeah tech is on the edge right now - something as amazing as google search is already turning to garbage, and the AI result is about to turn everything to garbage. it's the exact right time for some big changes. but it ain't easy when there's that much money working against you / paying you off.
