CCP algo is overblown. Data shows US kids ain’t watching Chinese propaganda

Tik Tok’s demise favors Zuck, Snapchat… while US investors would love buying into a forced sale spinoff

Not chinese propaganda, but the CCP puts their thumb in the scale inside china but lets high engagement rage bait dominate elsewhere. We know angry rage is the highest engagement content.

If the content the kids were watching was something the CCP was concerned about the next generation of westerners aligning with, the thumb would find the scale in a hurry.
 
I guess but I see US owned X and Meta also using rage bait to generate revenue… probably more than Tik Tok which has a disproportionate amount of silly dance and skincare routine content

Sure, but that's not what the bleet was on about. Just that the political stuff on TT skewed trumpy. My opinion on tiktok has drifted a bunch since the election as obviously the tech broligarchy won the country and there will be no action against them to reclaim the social consciousness from the algos. The EU will probably move in that direction eventually though of requiring some sort of input into what the algo is allowed to promote. Social media has proven itself far too fucking dangerous to be left to it's own devices.

But yeah, in America shit is cooked, it's over. Not sure for how long, but a while.
