I guess cocaine in the water fountains didn't have the productivity gains necessary to overcome the increased costs.

Because I can't think of a single fucking way to crater profits without cratering sales that doesn't include metric tons of cocaine.
 
Seems like a combination of cheap Chinese EVs killing sales in China, tariffs reducing demand in the US, and slowing economies reducing demand for luxury vehicles. Also some poor boardroom decisions on top of it. They made an EV called the Macan which is way overpriced and nobody is buying them.
 
Shifting out of EVs which costs money. Canceled planned battery production, developing new ICE models. Lots of investment, profits gonna be temporarily impacted. It's bad, they're probably going downhill. But not as bad as the headline looks.

Man, I most those cellphone less mid-late 90s jumbo video weekend runs when no one could get a hold of you and you'd cycle through all the obscure cult classics because the 28 copies of Batman Forever were all gone.
