AI is going to replace everyone and everything. Not because it's better than people, or even remotely good at much of anything without roughly as much human labour as it replaces overseeing it and fixing it's fuck ups. But because wealthy people have invested trillions and expect their ROI come hell or high water.

I'm glad that someone as big as Apple is generating results like this, but there's an entire side of the AI argument that gets next to zero attention from the media that has been arguing for at least 1-2 years that LLM's aren't a pathway to AGI, and are going to cap out in quality well, well short of what the AI industry claims. The industry is smoke and mirrors. From the school of Musk, say outlandish shit about what this new tech will be able to do in whatever future time frame, then turn around and raise money off of those claims. Rinse and repeat.
