One day this needs to stop. It’s to the point they’re barely trying to hide the bias.
 
Unpopular opinion: We were too hard on Ceci and this board (including myself) was wrong about Liljegren being the better player at this stage.
 
Obviously Mo and Ceci being on the ice is probably a bigger deal than Mikheyev given their injuries were foot related

With the way dermott is stepping up I'm legit looking forward to a dermott-ceci 3rd pair. That's a damn good 3rd pair.

I'm not sure that we were too hard on Ceci. The guy's still pretty trash, and a hilariously bad use of $4.5M in cap space.

But yeah, it does appear that the wide consensus that Lilly was ready to be an immediate improvement on him was incorrect.
 
I definitely thought Lil would be more NHL ready at this point.

Being in a playoff spot at the moment and adding Rielly, Soupy and Ceci back into the lineup is a decent spot to be in.

Yeah. I feel we were right about Ceci (waste of 4.5m and should have been shown the door during Arby) but I absolutely agree that Lilly wasn't the answer.

With that said, I would have preferred if we found out that Lilly wasn't the answer by Jan 1 rather than March 1. All while Ceci was in another city and Hutch wasn't our backup all season. Gives us way more time and ability to find a 3rd pairing defender rather than playing Ceci way up the lineup for a couple of months before figuring out (predictably) that he's a 3rd pairing RHD making 4.5m while we're cash strapped.
