Agreed, the physical tools are obvious. He's playing way, way too cautious though. I was trying to pay more attention to his pinches, and gap control specifically the last couple times he played and he was the fuck out of the offensive zone if there was even a shred of doubt that he would make it to the puck first and he was leaving 2-3x the gap you would suggest when handling the rush, just giving away the zone entry. Not forcing a dump in pretty much ever.

Very, very fixable.

Its not easy to force maturity and ge needs ti be surrounded by peers that can hold him accountable
 
I appreciate your opinions. And we have all seen Y2K, West Nile, Ebola poop out. Even AIDS. I used to be friends with a lot of dancers(women) and skaters(women) but all their male counterparts were most gay. Well lotta those guys died of AIDS.

But ask yourself this...

Do you NOT, shake your head, shake your head, find it strange we don't get any headlines about AIDS, EBOLA, etc...? West Nile?

Isn't that a bit weird, none of them ever had a cure(cept Floyd's and mine) but we don't hear about them any more.

Preston you seem like a smart guy. You ever ask basic questions like that? Or are you mesmerized by the massive quadrillion budget to enterstain you and distract into not thinking deep?
 
Anyways, all I can say. Lets get back to Mucho Marner. Btw. Mike Walton, likes him a lot. But Mike Walton had a heckuva shot, so I am surprised he doesn't think that is a weakness so much.

Yeah, but to be faiiiiir....had I known we were just going to turn around and trade Steen for fuck all a little while after, just take the deal. Had we gotten a decade of 25/55, high end 2 way play out of him, not trading for Pronger would go down a little easier. One of the things to keep in mind was that the deal was a 27 yr old Kaberle coming off of a 67 point season, and 21 yr old Steen for a 31 yr old Pronger. If Kabs doesn't eat that elbow and becomes our Andrei Markov until his mid to late 30's, and Steen is a career Leaf, turning down the Pronger deal makes some sense.

I don't think "being held accountable" is his issue. Kid is an obvious hard worker who has improved a ton in the last 2 years.

He's just afraid to fuck up and is playing super cautious. He's a great skater, so easily capable of solid pinching and great gap control. He just needs to find his marbles at the NHL level.

He's been very slow to develop in every league he has played in. Some guys are just like that. Part of that is that he has been playing against players way older than him for his entire pro career. He should be fine but I'm admittedly pretty disappointed in his results. There has been nothing redeemable about them.

Kaberle was smoked by that asshole. That creep, he took our best dman of all time out.

Did he get fat after that? Yeah he did. But he was the best mannered Leaf I ever encountered.

Guy was great. But he was very much concussed

That guy was so brave, so brave. His breakouts were even better than Nylander.

I was honoured to party lightly with him many times. When he was in perfect shape, that thug, smoked him.

Its why these guy go via their agents for max pay. Some AHLer callup can smoke them any time. End it all.

Watch clips of Kaberle. The guy was ALMOST Bobby Orr. Pretty close in terms of bravery.

There are excellent treatments available for HIV/AIDS and there have been for a while. And why would it generate headlines? Should we expect headlines about every transmittable illness on a daily basis?
 
Good point. Excellent treatments that cost gazillions just to maintain a life.

My cousin for one, Magic Johnson have been around for twenty years because of these maintenance drug programs.

Whereas Floyd and I, just got rid of the bug once and for all. And no, that cannot be allowed. Floyd pushed too hard et voila.
